BULLETIN & DEVOTIONS
Remember Carl DeBoer in your prayers as he awaits test results from Mayo. Pray that God will lead the doctors to the exact treatment he needs.
Pray for JoAnn and Kim Miller. Joan's father (Eldo Kruse) passed away recently and his funeral was held on Tuesday. Pray that God will comfort them and their family as they grieve.
Please pray for our farmers and all people involved with the harvest. Pray that the weather will cooperate and for safety and a bountiful crop.
Pray for the nomination process for consistory. Pray for those that have been asked to serve. Pray that they will accept God's call and allow their names to stand on the ballot.
Spend some time in prayer for those who have lost their homes or family members to fire, hurricanes, or earthquakes. Our hearts go out to all those effected by these tragedies.
Please pray for our shut-ins and those in area care facilities – try to send them a card or stop in for a visit. Kathy Ackerman and Marjorie Marchal are in Elm Springs, Doug Sidmore is at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, and Lois Rewerts is at Bartels in Waverly. Marge Durand, Beulah Hearn, Joyce Meyer, and Hilda Tuitjer and are also shut-ins in their homes.

Over the last 25 years, millions of lives have been changed through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. We will be hosting a simulcast presentation of Dave Ramsey’s “Smart Money” event on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 7:00-10:00 pm. Dave Ramsey and his daughter Rachel Cruze will present biblically based principles to help people take control of their finances rather than letting their finances control them. On this rare occasion our church is able to show this presentation absolutely free. We’d like to register as many people as possible in advance by calling 319-267-2982 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, but you can still come without registration.
